After a very long (8 weeks) 'drought' of woodpeckers at my feeders, I'm starting to see a few signs of life! In the past three days, I've seen a couple of Downies and a Red-bellied at the peanut feeders. The suet cake feeders are showing increased signs of use, too. No sign yet of a return of the pair of Pileateds who were dining daily from the peanut feeders before the vanishing act.

Whatever the reason for their absence, it's good to have them back, and hopefully the numbers will increase back to the previously abundant numbers!
