I made a brief tour of the Confluence and Borrow Pit areas of 3-Creeks Park today.  This merging of 3 riparian corridors is a good migrant funnel, and it was working well today.  I had a fly-by Pine Siskin at the Confluence area, first of the season for me.  It was part of a fairly lively movement of diurnal migrants, including lots of Robins (200+), Cedar Waxwings (100+), Redwings (90+), Goldfinches (50), and Yellow-rumped warblers (70+).  By contrast, nocturnal migrants were fairly scarce, with an Indigo Bunting, a few Catbirds, and a Tennessee Warbler being the chief highlights.

On the way out of the park, I spied a kettle of 70 Turkey Vultures along I-270 near the I-70 interchange.  Yet another diurnal migrant on the move.
