A quick visit to the lower part of this Delaware County reservoir this morning after the rain found cold, windy conditions, plus some migrants. I stopped at New Galena boat launch, the dam, and the beach & visitor's center.  Waterfowl season kept waterbirds to a minimum; even the gull flock on the beach was reduced (100 Ring-bills).  Landbird highlights included
Flickers - 7-8 in a few hours, an uptick from recent trips
Phoebe - 1 near the visitors' center
Blue Jays - 18-20 was a bit of a pulse, but down from earlier in October
Thrushes - flocks of Robins at every location, along with small #s of E.Bluebirds
Cedar Waxwings - only 1 flock of about 30 birds near the dam
Warblers - nothing but Yellow-rumped, but they were ubiquitous
Sparrows - flocks of Field Sparrows and White-throated Sparrows at all locations.  Also had White-crowned at New Galena & the visitors' center, and 1 Lincoln's at the VC.
Blackbirds - little other than a few Redwings and grackles
Finches - a flyby Pine Siskin was at the Visitors' Center, while Goldfinches were widespread.
