I lake watched from Metzger Marsh WA (Lucas Co.) between 10:15-11:45am this morning yielding 1 White-winged and 2 Surf Scoters and nothing else of note. Good numbers of waterfowl were moving well offshore far beyond the view of a scope. The majority were scaup which mirrors the movement off Cleveland and east. It's quite discouraging standing there seeing nothing while reading on my phone that John Pogacnik had 1,500 scoters, an eider, jeager and Brant! The Western Basin just doesn't compare to the eastern half of Lake Erie...
