My wife and I saw several ruddy ducks, ring-necked ducks, American coots, along with a lone bufflehead right outside of Bel Lago restaurant. Also, closer to the dam, we saw two white-winged scoters swimming with a lone hooded merganser.

Earlier we were in Blendon Woods and saw a female gadwall and two fox sparrows. Many other birds were seen, but these were the most notable.

Total between the two areas we picked up 48 species.
