Saturday, October 6:

A beautiful day to be birding! A brief walk through the park yielded:

Palm warblers
Yellow-rumped warblers
Golden-crowned kinglets
Purple martins - hundreds in the sky swooping and diving on Friday and
again on Saturday where they were joined by chimney swifts.
Northern flickers
Red-bellied woodpeckers
Downy woodpeckers
Carolina wrens
Carolina chickadees
Red-breasted and white-breasted nuthatches
