There were 7 scoters on the lake at Buck Creek State Park on Sunday evening. They were dark birds, no white patches could be seen on the napes but occasionally light patches could be seen on the cheeks of some of the birds. In the few minutes we watched them we never saw any white on the flanks.

We did not see the phalarope.
