I was at Sims Park in Euclid late today from 5:44 to 6:45pm and the lake was very smooth. Today I saw four Common Mergansers females far east of the pier.  I looked at them a long long time as I didn't want to misidentify these birds.  Each year you usually see just one real early far east of pier hanging around a long time.

I walked around quickly and was only able to see White-throated Sparrows, many Yellow-rumped Warblers, many Kinglets, a couple Winter Wrens and a Chestnut-sided Warbler.
