Hi Everyone,We have been feeding the birds for years. We have suet and everything else woodpeckers like.Yesterday we heard a weird noise coming from our front porch. I looked out the window and on the one pole on the porch there was a hairy woodpecker pecking on the pole, I thought I saw achip of wood fly so I went out and looked , there is now a hole in the the pole. I know I have heard of woodpeckers pecking on housesbut never on that part of a house. I don't know if maybe a carpenter bee orcarpenter  ants got into the pole and if thats why it was pecking there.Does anyone know how to stop them from doing so?.
