I noticed the clearing weather this afternoon and managed to free myself to spend an hour at 2 sites along the northeast perimeter of Port of Columbus Airport (Pizzuro Park and Price Rd Park).  The clearing weather seems to have stimulated a burst of late passerine migrants, and there seemed quite a bit of activity at both parks.  Pizzuro has more riparian woods, and had lots of Yellow-rumped warblers, Golden-cr.kinglets, brown creepers, and woodpeckers.  Price Rd Park is more scruffy, and had a Mockingbird and Brown Thrasher, as well as swarms of sparrows, including 2 Towhees, 4-5 Chipping, 12+ Field, and 3 Swamp, along with lots of Songs, Juncos, and White-throated.  No Tree Sparrows yet. As you go running after waterbirds over the next few days, don't forget to occasionally check for landbirds as well, since there's often very unusual birds in these late waves.
