A large flock (300+) of mixed blackbirds were at Hoover Meadows, Hoover Nature Preserve, Galena, Delaware County this afternoon. The flock included Common Grackles, Brown-Headed Cowbirds, Red-winged Blackbirds and Rusty Blackbirds (25-30). They were feeding in the area near the rear most pond.

Sparrows were also well represented with Song, Swamp, Fox, Field, White-throated and American Tree.

A lone Northern Harrier was soaring over the fields.
