This morning I saw a loon at Hoover Reservoir, Franklin County, which I
believe was a Juvenile Red-throated Loon. I saw it first from the dam and
then from the area below the parking lot at the dam. It was quite a distance
away, but I was able to get some very poor digiscope photos, which can be
seen at

I am hoping someone with more expertise than myself can identity the bird
from these photos.
