I had to go to Lorain today and did a small amount of birding along the way.
Things were pretty slow. At East 72nd there were a lot of Bonaparte's
offshore, but nothing of note. At Lorain a lot of ring-billed gulls, a few
Bonaparte's and not much else

The drive home was actually much better. There was a short-eared owl flying
around the east end of Burke Airport. When I got home a flock of 60 tundra
swans flew over.
