Comments:     Ran into a birder from Dayton, OH who saw his first pine siskin. He also reported a pair of red crossbills about 20 minutes before we ran into one another in section 52. While looking for redpolls, I noted sweet gum trees in the following sections: 14 (big sweet gum tree), 53, 72 and 73.

Cooper's Hawk  1     Section 52, perched about 2 ft. off the ground. Point blank looks at less than 15 yds.
Red-tailed Hawk  1     Section 100.
Sandhill Crane  22     High flying group viewed from section 52, flying high over sections east of this section.
Mourning Dove  14
Red-bellied Woodpecker  3
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker  1     Section 100.
Hairy Woodpecker  1
Blue Jay  6
American Crow  65
Carolina Chickadee  7
Red-breasted Nuthatch  7     In sections as follows -  section (number of birds): 52 (3), 53 (1), 95 (1), 125 (1), woodland (1).

Dark-eyed Junco  30     30+ in section 100, mostly in hemlock, then flying over to shrubs along adjacent pond.
