This morning, on our daily walk around our property, I spotted a pair of
winter wrens skulking around in a grape tangle near the northeast corner,
on the bank of the deepest ravine.

I have been watching this tangle develop over the past couple years. Three
years ago a large wild cherry fell, bringing its associated grape down with
it, then an adjacent, unidentified, dead "tree sp." fell among the chaos
this past year, contributing to the cover. Cardinals frequent this tangle,
and I have often mused that it would make a perfect location for winter
wren.

I like it when the magic works!
