Here is a link to two pictures of the same owl.  It moved from one tree to
the next, the lighting changed and one view shows its back while the other
shows its front http://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/.  If I did not
take the pictures myself I would swear this was two different birds.  For
someone who is just learning their owls this could look like two different
species!
