At 3 p.m. I did not see the Sandhill Cranes mentioned by the Neubauers in
the following message.

However, I did see two American Pipits on the ice at this location as well
as a male Northern Harrier.  The Harrier left heading north, and about
fifteen minutes later I saw what was presumably the same bird at the
intersection of Frederick-Garland and Bolinger Roads (which I believe is
actually in southern Miami County).

A stop at Eastwood Lake in eastern Dayton yielded a female Merlin in the
grassy area on the south side of the lake.
