The Rufous Hummingbird in Fairborn (near Dayton) is also still here and
will now be included in the 29 Dec Dayton CBC.
   I have two feeders, 1 with a flood light aimed at it.  Has kept the
solution from freezing at the lows experienced so far but I will be
adding a different feeder during snowy periods, a Perky Plus 4 petal as
I find the disk style feeders collect snow and ice in their ports too
readily.  Since I have the floodlight sort of below the disk feeder
(heat rises) it doesn't always keep  the top totally melted.  My flood
light is staked into a big flower pot on top of a step ladder,  the top
step is plastic which I am hoping does not crack and break while I'm at
work.  I worry a lot about something happening while I'm at work (ladder
breaking, bulb burning out, feeder getting knocked down).

Found an article stating that PA was reporting a record number of
wintering hummingbirds.
