There was a great movement of gulls today with numerous great black-backed
and several white winged gulls. Waterfowl were down a bit.
There was no sign of the hoary redpoll today and no redpolls were seen at
all. The redpolls had been feeding in the alders along the cliff. The high
winds off the lake may have been too intense for them. The vesper sparrow
was seen most of the day.
