This coming Saturday, December15th and Sunday, December 16th will have multiple Christmas Bird Counts aroundOhio.
 
This is a reminder for Christmas Bird Count Compilers andParticipants that for the 2012 fall gun deer-hunting season, the OhioDepartment of Natural Resources has again extended the season to includean extra weekend. ODNR added an extra weekend in deer gun season onDecember 15 and 16, 2010.
If you participate in any area that may have hunters present youshould wear something with Hunter Orange as a safety factor. The last thing you want to do is to wear awhite hat or any other white apparel that could cause a hunter to think you area white-tailed deer. 
May we all have a safe and productive Christmas Bird Count, andmay your Holiday be filled with joy and great birds.
