The adult Black-headed Gull at Wendy Park/Whiskey Island was viewed for 20 minutes (attempted digiscope photos at a distance are still being looked through but images are poor) then briefly seen by Jerry Talkington amidst 3,500 Bonaparte's Gulls, over 14,000 Ring-billed Gulls and 5,000 Herring plus another 50,000+ gulls farther to the east this late afternoon/evening. The regular immature POMARINE JAEGER plus an adult Bald Eagle caused massive disruption multiple times and had thousands of gulls in utter mayhem till dusk.
I've posted a map of the best viewing locations here: http://northnw.wordpress.com/
