V quiet bird-wise. I was a bit surprised to find 2 Great Egrets who soon took off skyward & I did not see them again.

A lone Great Blue Heron was feeding in an odd manner: it had waded out into water that went past its legs, part way up its chest. Then it appeared to move its leg under the water to rustle up fish, plunging its head & most of its neck into the water to grab said fish.

There was a large group of Hooded Mergs again by the parking lot E of the beach. Other waterfowl: N Shoveler (just a single male), Gadwall, Ruddies, & of course Mallards as well as Pied-billed Grebes. (& Canada Geese, Mute Swans).

A few passerines but nothing unusual. Can list if needed for a CBC.
