There was quite a bit of activity on the lake again today. Lots of
waterfowl moving with light gull numbers. Most interesting was a very
distant jaeger. It flew around a bit, but it was so far out I had to leave
it unidentified. It was heading east. Also of note was a group of 11 black
scoters, a group of 3 white-winged scoters, and a long-tailed duck. There
seems to be a small number of wintering scoters. I seem to see a few every
day that I watch the lake.
