Matt, you can also view rarity alerts and (if you use eBird) "needs" alerts
either state wide or for specific counties. These are ALL reports (not
just the confirmed/validated reports) submitted in eBird over the past 7
days, and include out of season birds and sometimes subspecies reports, so
it's more than just rarities in the usual sense of the word.

*Examples:*
Ohio rarities: http://ebird.org/ebird/alert/summary?sid=SN35533
Franklin county rarities: http://ebird.org/ebird/alert/summary?sid=SN35701
Geauga rarities (eBird needs more data from your county!):
http://ebird.org/ebird/alert/summary?sid=SN37139

If you have an ebird account, you can get hourly or daily updates via email
when these alerts change.

Good birding,
