We are presently sitting in the comforts of the living room of Michael and Naomi Yoder. We arrived at 1:50PM, today, Friday. Five minutes later at 1:55PM, the celebrity visitor showed up at its usual feeder. What a beauty! The journey here in four wheel drive, from our rendevous at I-77 & SR39 in Dover, was extremely treacherous! Denise came from Damascus and myself from Marietta. The roads were unplowed and snow covered. We were unable to drive up the hill from TR272 to the house, requiring us to park at the bottom and walk up. Follow the previously given directions to 32418 Crawford Township Road 231. The brightly colored male Varied Thrush was first seen by the lady of the house, Naomi, on Tuesday at noon. It is presently 3:00PM, and he has once again returned to the feeder. There have been 74 birders, including us, sign the guest register. A big thank you to great hosts, Michael and Naomi.
