I visited several parks along the Scioto River gorge in Dublin (Kiwanis, Donegal Cliffs, Frink-O'Shaughnessy Dam), as well as several away from the river (Sawmill Wetlands, Coventry & Brandon Woods, Scioto Ridge). The river areas were bustling with waterfowl (the water was open) and lots of landbirds. In particular, the huge house just south of Donegal Cliffs has a huge feeder spread that attracts quite a mob of birds; it's worth checking regularly. In contrast, areas away from the river had little other than woodpeckers and chickadees. Notables included:

Canada Geese - flocks all along the river, with the biggest being 350 below O'Shaughnessy Dam.
Mallards - similarly widespread along the river, with 300 below the dam as the high
Black Ducks - a few were in the Mallard throngs at Kiwanis and O'Shaughnessy
Hooded Mergansers - 10 were at Kiwanis, while another 2 were at Donegal Cliffs
Pied-billed Grebe - at least 1 was in the waterfowl throng at Kiwanis
Great Blue Herons - the big concentration was 22 below the dam
Blue Jays - small flocks all along the river; even a few strayed over to Sawmill wetlands
E.Bluebirds - small flocks at Kiwanis (5) and Donegal Cliffs (4)
American Pipit - 1 was roaming around the rocks below O'Shaughnessy Dam, then flew off to the south
Sparrows - small groups of White-throats, Songs, & Juncos were along the river, especially around the small springs at Kiwanis. Scioto Ridge was the only spot with Tree Sparrows.
Common Grackle - 1 was all by his lonesome at Kiwanis
