Started out to be a nasty day weather wise, but soon the rain stopped and it warmed up a little. The Varied Thrush was present around 11:15AM as Andy said but did not show while I was there till around 3PM. The kids school was cancelled today due to heater problems so there was a big crowd hoping for the Thrush. With warmer temps and less snow-who knows/ the bird did not show. So off I went to Albert Miller's on CR600. Lovely family. The Harris' Sparrow finally appeared at the feeder around 4PM with a ton of White-crowned sparrows then proceeded to display handsomely in a tree behind their house. What a show! Their 6 yr old is already very proficient in identifying most of all the common birds. She must have quite a life list already!
