Dear Potential Monitor of Marshland Birds: Please pass along this information to anyone interested in monitoring MARSH BIRDS or amphibians (or both) for this bi-national program. There are many routes available for monitoring this year (usually from March to early July) or you can use your own marsh. Marshes in the Lake Erie watershed are preferred, but all marsh data is important. This Bird Studies Canada training is presented by the Ohio Wetlands Association in with support from the Mentor Marsh Nature Center and Cleveland Museum of Natural History at the Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve. Bird Studies Canada has been keeping these important records for over 20 years which can be used in wildlife management and for making other environmental planning decisions. Bird Studies Canada works in cooperation with the USEPA and other environmental organizations. If you did not receive the attachment, please contact Kathleen Bradley at [log in to unmask] and I will send it to you directly. The training is free in Mentor, Ohio, and will run from 1 to 5 PM. We hope to see you there. Space is limited- if you are interested, please register soon. This is a free volunteer training.
