Hi birders: North of Wooster at the intersection of Canaan Center and Metz
Rds about 3pm I saw two Am. pipits feeding along the edge of the road.
About 50yds away I had a mixed flock of two lapland longspurs, two savannah
sparrows, one meadowlark and four doves feeding along the road edge. Back
in Wooster, at the intersection of Silver Rd. and Rt 302, I saw three
chipping sparrows very well feeding along the road edge and then at close
range in a bush after they flushed. I don't believe I have seen chipping
sparrows before in January. Randy Rowe
