Karen Kassouf reports the last sighting of the Varied Thrush today being around 8 am. The bird visits their feeders, a feeder at the intersection of Chesterfield and Edgebrook Blvd, and the spruces/woodland at the end of Edgebrook Blvd, a very short walk (less then quarter mile) (Big Creek Reservation). Patience and time is needed and to be mobile, working back and forth checking the woodland edge at the end of Chesterfield and back and forth looking at the feeders along the block. A Cooper's Hawk keeps birds at bay at various times throughout the day.

the Kassoufs are not home, walk very carefully and quietly around left side of house to peek at feeders in the back. Yesterday the bird was visiting a feeder at the corner of Chesterfield and Edgebrook Blvd which is a very short distance down the road and across the street from Big Creek Reservation (Cleveland Metroparks).

Rich and Karen Kassouf,
10155 Chesterfield Drive, off of route 42 (pearl Road) south of Snow Road. Visitors welcome. Congrats to Karen for finding this awesome bird!
