I had a beautiful adult male harlequin duck on the lake at my North Perry
house. The bird was with a small group of common goldeneye from about
7:50-7:55. The flock then headed west. I was able to get some very distant
shots of the bird and will post them somewhere later today. Most of the
birds you see here are young birds. You don't see many adult birds. The
lake is ice-free here and there are decent numbers of ducks moving.
