Two spaces remain for this fabulous trip! Don't miss this birding extravaganza! Only two spaces remain!

Hiram College and the Friends of the Hiram College Field Station are sponsoring a tour to the Platte River to view Sandhill Cranes, Prairie Chickens and much more March 18-24, 2013. Each year, half a million Sandhill Cranes descend upon the Platte River. By March, 80% of the world's population crowds a 150-mile stretch, the largest gathering of cranes anywhere in the world. More and more of these majestic birds are taking up residence in wetlands, floodplains and farm fields in northeast Ohio. 10 million ducks and geese and the rare Whooping Crane can be viewed as well. Prairie Chickens, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Bald Eagles and conservation efforts make this trip a must for birders.
