I spent a couple of hours on Hayes Road, near Middlefield, mid day
and saw a flock of just over 30 snow buntings. They were feeding on
the weedy grasses in the snow covered fields. Also, 8 horned larks,
usually perched on the fence posts and easy to see. No longspurs that
I could locate.

I managed to find two rough legged hawks, (one dark, one light phase)
but they were never aloft. The only hawks that seemed to be flying
today where the abundant red tails. Also, one kestrel.
