I got a number of less than satisfying looks at W-W Crossbills this AM near section 83 where another birder had directed me while I was nearby in section 77. I had a couple birds close but with the sun behind them. Plenty good enuf for ID but not the best looks enjoyment-wise.

I saw the flock of approx 12 birds fly a couple times. They disappeared in the dir of the feeders & I didn't spot them again. They didn't vocalize much & a number of Pine Siskins seemed loosely associated w/them.

A quick trip to Blendon Woods yielded Redheads, Ring-necked ducks & Am Wigeon along w/the us mallards & Black Ducks.
