I have only been able to watch an American woodcock once while it was on the ground, and that was while it was "peenting" between aerial displays. Thus, I was fascinated by a video we just posted on our Facebook page of a foraging woodcock that was captured at Patoka River NWR. One of the amazing things going on in the natural world that almost nobody gets to see. Pretty timely since they are just arriving around here.
