I can’t believe such a large rural lake has so few birds. I saw a grand total of 2 Canada Geese and 0 Mallards but there were quite a few Mergansers and 1 male Common Loon.

Here’s the list:

20 Common Mergansers (a group of 12 and a group of 6)
!3 Hooded Mergansers
1 Common Loon
10+ Tree Swallows

At the spillway:
2 Belted Kingfisher
2 Eastern Phoebe
3 Tree Swallows
