Thursday, March 7 - 10 a.m. - noon

What a beautiful day to be out and about.  Eastwood Lake Metropark was
covered with waterfowl.  Species included:

Common goldeneyes
Ring-necked ducks
Lesser scaups
Redheads
Buffleheads
Canvasbacks
Northern pintails
Black ducks

Red-breasted mergansers

American coots

Ring-billed gulls
Mallards - surprisingly few
Canada geese - surprisingly few
Belted kingfishers
Red-tailed hawk
Red-bellied woodpecker
Mute swans - Huffman Metropark

Englewood East Metropark:
    Ring-necked ducks
    Redheads
    Lesser scaups
    Canvasbacks
    Northern pintails
    American coots
    Black ducks
    Mallards
    Canada geese

"ON THE ROAD" birds:
    Creagles
    American kestrel
    Grackles
    European starlings
    Rock doves
    American robins
