While out in my yard this morning, at 6:00 am, still dark, I heard a woodcock
calling nearby.  I think this soft call is described as a tuko. It doesn't carry far, and
it is given while the woodcock is on the ground.

If they are here in my yard, they will certainly be at nearby Frohring Meadows too,  if you 
are looking for them.
