Hello all,
I am searching for any sightings of white-winged scoters within approx 1-
1.5 hour drive of the Columbus area. I work for the Ohio Wildlife Center
and am looking to release a bird asap that was brought to us recently. I
feel more comfortable releasing these types of birds into similar species
flocks if possible, and am hoping some of you that actually get out and
see these birds in the real world could pass on some information for me.
If none are found, we have local flocks of similar diving ducks that are
suitable. I have attached a pic for reference if there are any novice
birders out there who can help.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Kristi Krumlauf
