There was an osprey at Pickerington Ponds Metro Park in southeastern
Franklin County this afternoon(Thursday, March 14). I saw it perched in a
tree close to the nesting platform north of Wright Road and west of Bowen
Road. While I was watching the osprey, two sandhill cranes flew over
Bowen Road and appeared to land at the east end of Ellis Pond south of
Wright Road and east of Bowen Road. Later I saw the cranes in the water
at the east end of Ellis Pond. The color on both cranes was brown.
