I stopped by Home Despot for some supplies and on the way out heard
American Woodcocks "peenting" and twittering in the swampy scrub between
the store and Pettibone road. There were at least a few birds although
even in the twilight I couldn't see well enough to get a count. This is
an easily accessible location (although I don't know if there is any
security that will get bent out of shape by birders).
