I was able to get out for a short time today and went to the northern end
of Alum Creek Res. to check on the osprey platforms. I was rewarded with
seeing three of the four platforms occupied. Platform one and two both had
a pair of osprey and platform four had one bird. As I was leaving I saw an
osprey perched in a tree near platform four. I only saw five osprey at any
one time.
Other birds seen were:
Great Blue Heron 3
Canada goose 3
Killdeer 1
Tree Swallows 8 to 12
Turkey Vulture 5

I then went to the north end of Delaware Res at Rt 229. There were no
osprey there. I then checked out the Bald Eagle nest south of Prospect and
saw one adult sitting high on the nest.
