There were 32 Sandhill Cranes which we observed from the observation tower
at Funk Bottoms Wildlife Area in Wayne County west of Wooster. 

With spring delayed we were missing hearing the calls of Red-winged
Blackbirds which we usually expect to be everywhere by now. So it was a
treat to encounter a mixed flock of Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles,
and a few Rusty Blackbirds near the intersection of Clay Plant Rd. and
Wilderness Rd.
