Went out walking trails in Knox County today, saw quite a few notables.

First started at the Mohican Valley Trail in Danville, where at least 50 Black Vultures were roosting in trees along the trail entrance.

Also seen and heard were:
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Vesper Sparrow (heard)
Scarlet Tanager (heard)

Moved down the trail to Mickley Rd/Tiger Valley Rd access area and heard/saw:
Vesper Sparrow (heard)
Baltimore Oriole
Red-eyed Vireo
Kentucky Warbler (heard, could not locate the bird)

Then finally came to the Bridge of Dreams:
Yellow-throated Warbler (two seen)
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
Carolina Chickadees
Wood Thrush
Northern Parula (heard)

Took a short break from the rain and then decided to hit the Kokosing Gap Trail in Gambier at the Brown Family Environmental Center.

Eastern Towhees (numerous)
Blue-winged Warbler
Northern Parula (seen and heard throughout the first half mile)
Field Sparrow
Yellow Warbler (heard)

Happy Birding,
