Well, the prediction that some had for seeing a lot of migrants today hasn't seemed to happen yet, but hearing and seeing fox sparrows singing along the boardwalk is not a bad way to start the morning! A few brown creepers, golden-crowned kinglets, and several singing Carolina Wrens added to the enjoyment. Fly overs of trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes and eagles is not bad either. Plus a lot of ducks in the marsh to see too.

If you are out this Saturday, stop in the Bird Center. BACK TO THE WILD will be on hand for Bald Eagle Day from noon-4 pm with a live eagle and other birds too.
Also the Warbler Photo Exhibit will be open, from the National Center for Nature Photography, featuring the work of local photographer Brian Zwiebel.

Happy Birding!
