I led a bird walk Saturday morning to a few of our favorite migrant traps
along Lake Erie. Lucky for me I brought son Bret along, recently home after
completing his Freshman year at Columbia University. Didn't take him long to
spot the Bird of the Day: Red-throated loon flying crazily due North,
apparently trying to catch up with its buddies in Canada and Alaska. May 25
-- latest ever Spring sighting by Three Days, according to Larry Rosche's
Birds of the Cleveland Region.
