For the past week my wife and I have had the pleasure each day, of seeing between 5-10 Pine siskin visiting our feeders. Although this is not a new yard bird, the numbers we have seen lately are much higher than in the past when we have seen around 2-3 at a time. We have also had a female Pileated woodpecker visiting our suet feeder for the past two days and yes, this is a new yard bird for us suburbanites!
