This evening(Monday, March 13)at 8:10, while I was counting the Great
Egrets(15)in the Great Blue Heron rookery at Pickerington Ponds Metro
Park, a Black-crowned Night-Heron flew in and landed in one of the dead
trees. It was still there when I left. There were no Great Egrets present
the previous evening when I was there. Pickerington Ponds Metro Park is
in southeast Franklin County.
