Additional directions: the parking lot is just east of the intersection of Darby creek road and kuhlwein road, north of kuhlwein. Walk across kuhlwein and south along the bike path until you see the white house on the right. Go east into the field (full of wheat) and the bird is in the second pond on the right- the biggest pond in the short winter wheat area. The bird is currently in the southwest corner of the pond. Another option is to park at the grain elevator and walk the loop trail to the north along the westernmost pond. You can see the bird from the northwest edge of the trail too. Hopefully someone else can post better directions later. This is a gorgeous bird! Good luck!
