James P Smith has left the Kirtland's and is now scoping shorebirds on the
Estuary Trail. He has what is either a Baird's or White-rumped Sandpiper,
but it is terrible light and they have not been able to work out the
definite id. But either one is a great bird.

We wanted to put this out in case anyone was planning on heading this way
in the morning, that is when the light is good, keep an eye out for it and
let us know if you can make out which it is.

Rebecca Hinkle
